MY CAST IRON SKILLET IS RUSTY, HOW DO I CLEAN IT?
 | USE SANDPAPER OR STEEL WOOL TO REMOVE ALL THE
RUST. WASH & DRY IT WELL. RUB THE SKILLET ALL OVER USING
MINERAL OIL & BAKE IT IN YOUR OVEN WHICH YOU SET ON "SELF
CLEAN" NORMAL CYCLE MODE. WHEN COOLED, WASH USING A BRISTLE BRUSH
& DRY AS NORMAL THEN PLACE ON TOP OF THE STOVE & HEAT IT WELL.
COOL & STORE IT AS NORMAL. |
 | WHAT...NO SELF CLEANING OVEN? PUT IT ON A
BBQ GRILL THAT HAS A COVER & BRING THE COALS TO HOT, PUT THE SKILL ON
THE GRATE, NOT DIRECTLY ON THE COALS (THE SKILLET WILL BREAK IF IT GETS TO
HOT). LET IT "COOK" UNTIL THE COALS DIE & THE SKILLET
COOLS. WASH & HEAT AS ABOVE. |
