WHISKEY STEAK

INGREDIENTS:

bullet4 steaks, about 1" thick (T-bone or porterhouse)
bullet1/4 cup whiskey
bullet1 tsp salt
bullet3 Tbsp water
bullet2 tsp pepper
bulletDash of sugar
bullet3 Tbsp oil
bullet3/4 tsp flour

DIRECTIONS:  Salt & pepper both sides of steaks.  Heat oil in a large iron skillet, when hot add steaks & cook 4 minutes, turning once.  Reduce heat to medium & cook 3-4 minutes then remove from the skillet, put on a warm platter.  Pour off all but 1 Tbsp of the drippings, add flour & cook 1 minute, stirring then whisk in the whiskey, water & sugar.  Bring to a boil scraping the pan to include the drippings.  Spoon the sauce over the steaks & serve.
