TURKEY BURGER

INGREDIENTS:

bullet2 LB fresh ground turkey
bullet1 egg
bullet2 Tbsp seasoned bread crumbs or rolled oats
bullet1/2 cup finely chopped onion, optional
bulletSalt & pepper to taste
bullet1/4 tsp dried oregano
bullet8 slices Swiss cheese, optional
bullet4 Roma tomatoes, sliced
bulletRomaine or butter leaf lettuce leaves
bulletDijon mustard
bulletBread or rolls of choice

DIRECTIONS:  Using  a large bowl mix the turkey, bread crumbs, salt & pepper, onion & oregano.  Combine well & shape into 8 burgers.  Grill or broil burgers until no longer pink in the middle or internal temperature of 185 F.  Place on rolls with mustard, tomato, cheese & lettuce.

SERVES:  8                                TIME:  25 minutes

SERVING TIPS:  Great on onion rolls or thick sliced French bread.  Also good with BARBEQUE SAUCE.
