INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 F. arrange washed clams on baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 2 minutes or until shells open. Remove from the oven & increase heat to 450 F. Discard any clams that remain closed. Remove the meat & put shells back on the tray. Chop the meat & place in a mixing bowl. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic & bell pepper simmering until tender. Remove from heat. Add bread crumbs, bacon, vegetables & oregano to the meat, mixing well. Spoon mixture into each shell. Top with parmesan cheese, parsley & paprika. Bake 6 minutes or until cheese is melted & slightly brown. Serve immediately. SERVINGS: 3-4 STUFFED CLAMS |
