STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Combine the 2 cups sugar & gelatin in a large saucepan. Stir in the cream & cook over medium heat until almost to a boil, do not boil, cooking until ingredients are well dissolved. Beat eggs into 1 cup of the sugar mixture & stir into the sauce pan, cooking & stirring for 2 minutes. Stir in the whipping cream & vanilla. In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberries & 1 Tbsp sugar. With a potato masher lightly crush the berries. Add the berries to the custard. Freeze in an ice cream freezer or ice cube trays. SERVINGS: 1 quart STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM
