SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Soak the chicken in a plastic bag with the barbecue sauce at least 2 hours (24 hours best) while refrigerated. Shake the bag from time to time to mix the chicken & well coat. Remove chicken & shake in a separate bag with the flour & seasoning. Allow about 1 hour in the refrigerator for flour to set up. Fry in oil, about 365 F (put dark meat in about 5 minutes before the white meat, browning in batches if necessary but add all back to the skillet, cover & cook 10 minutes, then remove cover & cook until done. Total cooking time is about 30-35 minutes. Drain on paper towels, serve warm or cold. SERVINGS: 4 TIME: 35 min (+ refrigeration) SERVING TIPS: Great with GARLIC MASHED POTATO 2 SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN
