POACHED PEAR INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Combine ingredients except cheese in a 3 quart sauce pan & simmer until pears are tender, about 25-30 minutes. Remove pears & strain the liquid then bring the liquid to a boil & cook until it becomes syrupy, about 10 minutes. Serve pears with sauce drizzled over the pear & cheese on the side. SERVINGS: 4 TIME: 45 minutes SERVING TIPS: A good white wine can be used instead of red wine. POACHED PEAR |
