PEAR PIE INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Place pie shell in a 9 inch pie pan with removable bottom, trim to fit. Brush the bottom part with the egg white. Place a cookie sheet in the oven & heat to 400 F (204.44C). Stir together sour cream, 2 eggs, sugar & vanilla in a small bowl. Crumble together the sugar, gram cracker & butter in a separate bowl. Peel, core & half the pears. Cut lengthwise into 1/4 inch slices. Arrange pear in overlapping circle in the pie shell then pour the cream mixture over pears then sprinkle crumb mixture over the top. Bake on the heated baking sheet at 400 F (204.44 C) for 40 minutes or until cream is set & top is lightly golden. Serve with ice cream. SERVES: 6 TIME: 1 hour SERVING TIPS: Serve with either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. PEAR PIE |
