OYSTER DRESSING

INGREDIENTS:

bullet2 Tbsp butter or margarine
bullet1 1/2 cups chopped onions
bullet1 cup chopped bell pepper
bullet1/2 cup chopped celery with leaves
bullet2 garlic cloves, minced
bullet12 cups (about 1 LB) French bread, cubed
bullet2 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix
bullet1/2 cup water
bullet2 Tsp chopped fresh parsley
bullet1 tsp dried thyme
bullet1 tsp dried oregano
bullet4 (10 oz) jars oysters, with liquid
bullet1 cup chopped green onions
bullet1/2 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 F.  Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add 1 1/2 cups onion, bell pepper, celery & garlic.  Sauté 5 minutes or until tender.  Add bread & next 6 ingredients cooking 7 minutes, stirring constantly.  Remove from heat & stir in green onions & cheese.  Spoon into a 9 x 13 baking dish coated with pan spray & bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.

SERVINGS:  10-12                        TIME: 45 minutes
