INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Beat egg whites in a large bowl using electric mixer until thick. Gradually add the sugar until mixture is very stiff. Add the yolks & beat again. Add nuts, lemon juice & rind. Sift together cake meal & starch & add by spoonfuls to mix, folding in slowly & carefully. Turn into a 10 inch un-greased tube pan & bake at 325 F for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven & let sit a few minutes, then invert the pan over a cake rack & cool for 1 hour. SERVINGS: 8-10 TIME: 1 hour 20 min SERVING TIPS: A nice cake for Passover, or anytime. NUT CAKE |
