INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 375 F. Combine dry ingredients, except raisins & caraway seeds & mix well. Add the buttermilk & caraway, stir or process in a food processor to combine. Stir in the raisins & knead for 3 minutes (until the dough is smooth & elastic). Let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Lightly spray a baking sheet with pan spray. Form the dough into a round loaf & slash an X in the top. Bake for 45 minutes until the loaf is a golden brown. Let cool on a rack. SERVINGS: 1 loaf TIME: 1 hour IRISH SODA BREAD |
