TOOLS YOU WILL NEED: Kitchen knife, measuring cup & spoons, large sauce pan, wooden spoon, bowl or cup for storage of syrup, large bowl for storage of fruit, serving dishes. INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: In a sauce pan combine water with sugar, lemon juice, peel & extract. Bring to a boil then reduce heat & add fruit. Cook at very low heat 5 minutes. Pour syrup into a cup. Remove lemon peel & cool fruit 2 hours. Arrange fruit in individual serving dishes & pour a few teaspoons of syrup over it. Serve with sour cream if desired. SERVINGS: 8 (1-cup) FRUIT COMPOTE |
