INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Soak garbanzos overnight in water to cover. Drain. In a food processor, mince garlic, add beans, onions, parsley & cilantro. Process until fine. Add salt, cumin, baking soda, pepper & flour. Mix well. Let stand 15 minutes (mixture will be quite soft). Shape into small balls. Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pot to 375 F & fry in batches until brown on all sides. Drain on paper towels. Fill pita with lettuce, falafel & tomato. SERVES: 8 SERVING TIPS: Great with hummus.
