EGGS IN A BASKET INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Mix water, vinegar & food coloring together & let stand 5 minutes. One at a time dip eggs in the coloring, remove & let the egg dry. (Eggs are placed in bread raw, but they will be hard cooked when bread is done.) Line petite loaf pan cavities with baking cups. Prepare dough as directed on the package, adding the dried fruit. On lightly floured surface roll dough into 12 x 9 rectangle pan & cut into nine 1 inch strips. Cut each strip in half. Lightly roll each half into a rope & twist. Wrap one rope around inside of baking cup. Place colored egg in the middle of the dough. Put a second rope of dough on top of the first rope. Preheat oven to 375 F. Set bread in a warm place & allow to rise 20-30 minutes or until doubled in size. Brush dough with egg mixed with 2 Tbsp water. Do not brush on the egg. Bake 20 minutes or until bread is golden brown. SERVINGS: 9 TIME: 35 minutes EGGS IN A BASKET |
