CORN BREAD & SAUSAGE STUFFING

INGREDIENTS:

bullet6 Tbsp butter
bullet1 cup chopped onion
bullet1 cup chopped celery
bullet1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
bullet2 tsp poultry seasoning
bullet1 1/2 tsp thyme leaves
bullet1 tsp garlic powder
bullet10 cups cooked, dry, crumbled corn bread
bullet3/4 LB sausage, cooked & crumbled
bullet1 can (14 oz) chicken broth

DIRECTIONS:  Using a large iron skillet melt the butter, add onion, celery & bell pepper & sauté for 5 minutes.  Stir in the poultry seasoning, thyme & garlic power.  Combine the bread, vegetable mixture & sausage.  Add the broth & toss gently.  Spoon the mixture into  a 9 x 13 baking dish & bake at 350 F 176.67 C) for 30-35 minutes. 

SERVINGS:  10 cups

SERVING TIPS: Can be used to stuff the holiday turkey or other meats.
