CHICKEN FRIED STEAK

INGREDIENTS:

bullet2 cube steaks, about 6 oz each
bullet1/4 cup
bullet1/2 tsp salt
bullet1/2 tsp pepper
bullet1/2 tsp paprika, or more to taste
bullet1 cup vegetable oil, or less if desired

DIRECTIONS:  Pat the steaks dry; set aside.  Combine 1/4 cup of flour, salt, pepper & paprika on a plate, stir with a fork until well blended.  Coat each steak with the flour mixture, pound lightly on both sides with a rolling pin to help the meat absorb the flour.  All the flour should be used.  Heat the oil in a skillet until very hot (375 F).  Add the steaks & cook until seared & well crusted on one side, about 2 minutes.  Turn over with tongs & cook 2 minutes more.  Transfer the steaks to a plate lined with paper towels & keep warm until serving.

SERVINGS:  2                                            TIME:  20 minutes

SERVING TIPS:  Recommend serving with pan gravy.
