BOLOGNESE SAUCE

TOOLS YOU WILL NEED:  2 quart nonstick saucepan, plastic or wood spoon for stirring, measuring cup & spoon, knife for chopping, can opener.

INGREDIENTS:

bullet2 cups frozen BocaŽ ground sausage
bullet3 cloves garlic, minced
bullet1 Tbsp olive oil
bullet1 can (28 oz) diced tomato
bullet1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
bullet1 cup chopped mushrooms
bullet1 cup chopped zucchini, optional
bullet1 cup water
bullet1/3 cup chopped fresh basil (or 2 tsp dried basil leaves)
bullet1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional

DIRECTIONS:  Cook & stir frozen ground sausage & garlic with oil in a large nonstick saucepan on medium heat 4-5 minutes.  Add remaining ingredients, stir well.  Heat 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

SERVINGS:  about 5 cups                        TIME:  15 minutes
