BASIC HAMBURGER One of the tricks we try is to take advantage of sales on ground beef. When we purchase a large quantity we use this recipe is to prepare for different meals, then freeze for use at a later date. Save money...eat good! INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: For meat loaf & burgers: Mix all ingredients well then shape into either meat loaf or burger portions, wrap with freezer paper, mark with ingredient & date, freeze until ready to use. For stews & other meals calling for cooked ground beef: Combine all ingredients mixing well & cook in a large skillet until meat is brown and onions are limp, about 20 minutes. Drain & cool. Separate into desired package sizes wrap & freeze. SERVING TIPS: Try our SLOPPY JOE recipe using this idea. Great when you are preparing a one pot meal & need cooked ground beef. BASIC HAMBURGER
