BAKED HAM 3

INGREDIENTS:

bullet1 cooked ham, bone-in, 6-8 LB
bulletwhole cloves
bullet1/4 cup honey, room temperature
bullet1/2 tsp ground dry mustard
bullet1/4 tsp ground cloves

DIRECTIONS:  Preheat oven to 325 F (162.78 C).  Place ham, fat side up on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.  Insert meat thermometer so tip is in the thickest part of the ham & not touching the bone or in the fat.  Cover  with aluminum foil & bake 13-15 minutes per pound or until thermometer reads 135 F.  About 20 minutes before ham is done, remove from the oven, remove drippings from the pan & any skin from the ham.  Cut uniform diamond shapes on fat surfaces of the ham & insert whole cloves in each diamond.  Combine the honey, mustard & dry cloves then brush over the ham.  Bake uncovered 20 minutes.  Remove the ham & cover loosely with foil forming a tent & let stand about 10 minutes or until temperature reads 140 F.
