BAKED HAM INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 425 F (218.33 C). Place the ham fat side up in a large roasting pan & roast uncovered for 1 hour. Remove from the oven then remove the rind being careful not to remove any fat. Using a knife score the fat diagonally to form a diamond pattern. Insert whole cloves into each of the diamonds. Combine the spices, brown sugar & cider in a small bowl, mixing well. Brush the glaze all over the ham. Return the ham to the oven & cook another hour, basting occasionally with the glaze. The meat should register 180 F when a thermometer is inserted. SERVES: 8 TIME: 2 hr 20 minutes SERVING TIPS: Once done place the ham on a platter with kale leaves & cover with foil to allow juices to set. Do not over cook. BAKED HAM |
