BACON BREAD

 

INGREDIENTS:

bullet12 strips bacon, diced
bullet1 loaf (1 LB) frozen bread dough thawed
bullet2 Tbsp vegetable oil, divided
bullet1 cup (4 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
bullet1 envelope (1 oz) ranch salad dressing mix

DIRECTIONS:  Preheat oven to 350 F.  In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat for 5 minutes or until partially cooked, drain on paper towels.  Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness; brush with 1 Tbsp of oil.  Cut the dough into 1-inch pieces & place in a large bowl.  Add the bacon, cheese, dressing mix & remaining oil to coat well.  Arrange pieces in a 9-inch oval greased baking sheet, layering as needed.  Cover & let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled.  Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes.  Cover with foil & bake 5-10 minutes longer or until golden brown.
